A Gang of Pickpockets busted.

Three pick-pockets apprehended.

One Country made Pistol alongwith two button actuated Knives recovered.

The staff of Police Station Rithala (Metro) of Delhi Police has busted a gang of pickpockets and apprehended the following pick-pockets with one country made pistol and two button actuated knives:-

1)Javed @ Ijaj Ali s/o Ausif Ali r/o Loni Upper Court Near Tanki, Loni, Ghaziabad UP.

2)Birju s/o Kalicharan r/o LoniInterCollege Infront of Medical Store Loni, Ghaziabad, UP.

3)Khalid Hussain @ Guddu s/o Farid Ahmad r/o Loni No 2, 100 Foota Road, Gali No 5, Ghaziabad UP.

INCIDENT AND ARREST

On receipt of a secret information, a team consisting of SI Sharat Kohli, HC Rajesh Kumar, Ct. Kuldeep, Ct. Naresh, Ct. Amarpal and Ct. Mohit under the supervision of Insp. Raj Rani Sharma, SHO/Rithala (Metro) apprehended the above named accused persons from Inderlok Metro Station Parking. During search, they were found in possession of a country made pistol and two button actuated knives. The Gang of pickpockets was notorious with the name of “Goldflake Gang” and they are involved in numerous cases of pick-pocketing in local buses of Delhi and Metro Trains. All the three accused persons have been arrested vide case FIR Nos. 47/12, 48/12 and 49/12 Dated 03/12/2012 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act PS Rithala (Metro) Delhi.

MODUS OPERANDI

On interrogation it was revealed that accused Javed @ Goldflake was running a gang of 5-6 pickpockets and these criminals used to carry weapons in local buses. Javed was the king pin of the gang used to work as machine for his gang and the rest of the criminals assisted him while he took out purses and mobile phones of the victims. The gang mainly targeted buses plying between Paharganj to Karolbagh, Inderlok to Uttam Nagar and also targeted Metro Trains of Delhi. All the three arrested criminals have been found involved in several criminal cases.

GANG OF ROBBERS BUSTED : THREE ARRESTED

With the arrest of three persons namely (1) Jasbeer @ Bobby S/O Santram R/O H.No. 351, KarkardoomaVillage, Delhi, (2) Sonu Kumar S/O Late Shri Swaroop Singh R/O 29/325, Trilokpuri Delhi and (3) Ajeet S/O Shiv Kumar R/O H.No. 61, Gali No.-2, KarkardoomaVillage, Delhi, the South East Distt. Police have successfully busted a gang of robbers, who have been involved in incidents of robbery on outer Ring Road, Mathura Road & other highways in the area.

INCIDENT:

On 13/11/12 complainant Shri N. Haineube, a call center executive, reported that he had missed his morning cab on 10/11/12 so he had decided to take a bus from the Maharani Bagh Bus Stand near Kilokari Outer Ring Road. However, a Santro car stopped near him and offered him lift till Noida. Four men were already sitting inside the car. Soon afterwards they robbed him at gun point and took away his wallet containing cash and 2 ATM Cards. He was forc3ed to disclose the PIN numbers of the ATM cards as well. He was dumped near Gazipur Flyover East Delhi. Later he found out that the assailants had withdrawn money using his ATM cards as well. He reported the incident at PS. Sun Light Colony on 13/11/12 and a case vide FIR No. 438/12 U/S 392/34 IPC was registered at P.S Sunlight Colony accordingly.

TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:

A special team under the leadership of Insp. Sunil Kumar SHO/Sunlight Colony comprising of Inspr. Kishan Kumar ATO/S.L.C , S.I. Jatan Singh I/C P.P Sarai Kale Khan, S.I. Sandeep Kumar, HC Satender, HC Pramod, HC Lakhan, Ct. Harender, Ct. Lakhmi Chand and Ct. Sahab Singh was formed under the overall supervision of Sh. Data Ram ACP/NFC for the investigation of case.

During investigation the portrait of all the accused persons were prepared. CCTV footage of the ATM Center from where one of the accused had withdrawn money by using the robbed ATM card was obtained. CCTV Footage and photographs of the suspected robber were also distributed to the intelligences sources. On 30/11/12 information was received that one of the robbers was Ajeet S/O Shiv Kumar R/O H. No. 61, Gali No.-2, KarkardoomaVillage, Delhi and that he would be coming in a grey colored Santro Car No. DL7CA7433 near Millennium Park Sarai Kale Khan. He was apprehended. It was learnt that the Santro car No. DL7CA7433 was the same car which had been used in the commission of the crime.

At his instance, on 4/12/12 two more accused persons, namely (1)Jasbeer @ Boby S/O Santram R/O H.No. 351, Karkardooma Village, Delhi and (2) Sonu Kumar S/O Late Shri Swaroop Singh R/O 29/325, Trilokpuri Delhi were apprehended near Nafed building Ashram.

On sustained interrogation all the three accused persons disclosed that they had been committing similar robberies since the last 5-6 months. They had bought the second hand Santro car for Rs. 60,000 for this specific purpose.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED:

The leader of the gang is Rakesh @ Raand S/O Bacchu Singh R/O 28/290 Trilokpuri Delhi (yet to be arrested). He is a registered Bad Character of P.S Mayur Vihar Phase-1 area and has been involved in more than 10 cases of theft, snatching and hurt etc. Rakesh and his gang members bought the second hand Santro car for Rs. 60,000 for the specific purpose of robbery. They generally targeted persons near ISBT, Railway Stations or main bus stands.

With the arrest of accused Mukesh @ Sahil (25 years) s/o Arvind Prasad r/o H. No. 889, Gali No. 4, Shankar Vihar, Khora Colony, Ghaziabad, U.P., staff of PS Vasant Vihar, South District has arrested a member of interstate gang of auto-lifters and recovered 1 stolen Passion Plus motorcycle, 1 Honda Activa Scooter and 1 Maruti Swift Car and worked out 3 cases of M.V. theft.

BRIEF FACTS :

In order to prevent the incidents of robberies / snatching and road rage, special pickets were installed in the area of PS Vasant Vihar after briefing the staff promptly. A team comprising SI Sushil Sanwariya, SI Gajender, HC Ajit, HC Giri Raj, Cts. Sandeep, Sanjeev and Ram Sahay under the supervision of Inspr. Anil Sharma, SHO/Vasant Vihar was formed to develop information and apprehend auto-lifters active in the area. The team put in relentless efforts and studied the theft patterns in various cases. It was noticed that most of the vehicle thefts
incidents had happened in the early morning hours or in the late evening.

The efforts of police team bore fruits and on receipt of specific information about the movements of auto lifters in the area, on 03.12.11a special drive was launched to check the young boys riding on motorcycle during evening hours at picket Katwaria Sarai. On being asked to stop the vehicle, the rider did not obey the directions, instead tried to run away from the spot. The police team acted swiftly and placed the barricade in front of his motorcycle and compelled him to stop. He also tried to flee from the spot but he was immediately overpowered by the staff. During enquiry, his identity was revealed as Mukesh @Sahil s/o Arvind Prasad, presently residing at H. No. 889, Gali No. 4, Shankar Vihar, Khora Colony, Ghaziabad, U.P. The motorcycle recovered from his possession was found stolen from the area of PS Indirapuram (U.P) and wanted in case FIR No. 1477/12 u/s 379 IPC. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 395/12 u/s 411 IPC was registered at PS Vasant Vihar.

INTERROGATION & MODUS-OPERANDI:

On sustained interrogation, it revealed that accused belongs to Bihar and operates along with his associates namely Tasleem, who is a notorious auto lifters / receivers of stolen bikes. He confessed his involvements in series of auto lifting in Delhi with their other associates. At the instance of accused, 1 more stolen Hero Honda Activa and 1 Maruti Swift Car was recovered from different places. The co-accused person of accused Tasleem involved in theft cases along with accused are yet to be arrested as he is untraceable. The investigation of the case is in progress.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:

Mukesh @ Sahil S/o Arvind Prasad has studied up to 12th class from Bihar. He came to Delhi around 5-6 years back with his family and stayed in Khora Colony area in Delhi. Initially, he opened an STD Shop in Khora Colony but it could not work. Thereafter,he opened a shop of mobile repairing & accessories and computer repairing for the purpose of purchasing latest accessories he used to visit to Nehru place and Karol Bagh area of Delhi. After seeing the lavish life in Delhi, he started dreaming to live a lavish life. Later, he came in contact with Tasleem and both of them started committing auto theft in Delhi for fulfilling their dreams.

ONE ARRESTED WITH HUGE QUANTITY OF SMUGGLED ILLICIT LIQUOR FROM HARYANA WORTH LAKHS OF RUPEES : ACCENT CAR ALSO SEIZED

A team of Police Station Anand Parvat has arrested one Ashish, about 30 years s/o AzadSinghr/oVillage Matan, P.S. Sadar, Bahadurgarh District Jhajjar (Haryana), Central District Police has recovered 25 cartons of illicit liquor of different brands for sale in Haryana only from his possession. The Accent car used in smuggling the liquor has also been seized.

INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION

On 04.12.12, at about 4:00 a.m., when the police team was on patrolling duty near Kamal T Point Rohtak Road, Delhi, a secret information was received by the police party that one silver colour Accent car carrying huge quantity of illicit liquor would go towards Yamuna Vihar via Jakhira flyover. On receipt of this information, a team consisting of Inspr. Dalbir Singh, SHO/Anand Parvat, ASI Ajita and HC Om Singh was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Rajiv Midha, ACP/Patel Nagar.

Accordingly, a trap was laid near Industrial Area, Anand Parvat, New Rohtak Road, Delhi and the team started vehicle checking with barricading. During vehicle checking, at about 4:30 a.m., one silver colour Accent car was spotted and was signalled to stop but the driver tried to speed away. He was overpowered and on search, 25 cartons of liquor (16 cartons of Besto Whisky containing 768 quarters and 9 cartons of Royal Choice Deluxe Whisky containing 432 quarters) were recovered from Accent car. Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 151 u/s 33/58 Excise Act was registered at PS Anand Parvat, Delhi. The vehicle used in the smuggling of liquor has also been seized by the police.

INTERROGATION

Accused person was subjected to sustained interrogation in which he disclosed that he used to purchase the liquor from Bahadurgarh, Haryana and supply this liquor to various parts of Delhi on demand. He was lured by huge margin on sale of liquor. Accused Ashish is unemployed and was in dire need of money. To earn the quick money, he started committing crime. Further, he also disclosed that he is doing this for the last 2 / 3 months.

Further investigation/interrogation is under progress.

Suhail, aged about 30 years s/o Sirajuddin r/o 2693, Gali Kali Khan,, Kucha Chalan, Daryaganj, Delhi, (2) Sheshmani Yadav, aged about48 years s/o Hira Lal Yadav r/o H.No.B-44, Gali No. 1, Indira Vihar, Ghaziabad (UP), (3), Mohd. Salim aged about 46 years s/o Mohd. Yasin r/o H No. 1385, Chattha Rajan, Farash Khana, Delhi 6, (4), Mukesh Jain aged about 33 years s/o B.R. Jain r/o B-6/41, II Floor, Rohini, Sector-5, New Delhi -85 and (5), Parveen Rohtgai aged about 56 years s/o Late Chander Mohan r/o GFPlot No. 72, Rampratsha, Sector-7, Pocket-1, Vaishali, Ghaziabad (UP), Central District police has busted a racket involved in selling of duplicate Ball Bearings of SKF Company.

A team consisting of Inspr. Khemendra Pal Singh, SI Mahesh Kumar, HC Arvind, HC Satish Kumar, Const. Satender, Ct. Ramesh, Ct Bharat and Const. Jasbir was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. J.K. Sharma, ACP/DIU/Central District.

THE INCIDENT & INVESTIGATION

On 04.12.12, a specific input was received regarding selling of counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company in the area of Kamla Market. This information was further developed and a raid was conducted at Yamini Enterprises shop No.45, Negi House, GB Road, Delhi -6 which belongs to Sheshmani Yadav and 268 counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company were recovered. Further raid was conducted at Mukesh Enterprises 2401, 2nd Floor, RamnathBuilding, GB Road, Delhi – 6 which belongs to one Mukesh Jain and 75 counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company were recovered. Further, a raid was also conducted at Delite Bearing shop No.25, SulekhaBuilding, GB Road, Delhi–6 which belongs to Praveen Rohtagi and 14 counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company were recovered. Further, a raid was conducted at Imperial Bearing 5440, ChandBuilding, GB Road, Delhi–6 which belongs to Mohd. Suhail and 115 counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company were recovered. A case vide FIR No. 123/12 u/s 63/65 Copy Right Act and 103/104 Trade Mark Act was registered at P.S. Kamla Market, Delhi and the investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION/ INTERROGATION

During sustained interrogation, accused Mohd. Suhail disclosed that he used to take these counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company from Mohd. Naim and Mohd. Sajid. He further disclosed that he is doing the business of counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings for the last one year. At the instance of Mohd. Suhail, a raid was conducted at 952, Gali Chah Shree, Frash Khana, Delhi and 44 counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company, 1557 empty packing box, 2510 empty polythene packing and other material were recovered from the factory of Mohd. Naim. 1255 empty packing boxes were recovered from the factory of Mohd. Sajid. Accused Sheshmai Yadav also disclosed that he used to buy counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company from accused Mohd. Naim and Mohd. Sajid. Accused Mukesh Jain and Praveen Rohtagi disclosed that they used to buy counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company from Mohd. Salim. A raid was also conducted at 731, Fatak Dhobi Wala, Frash Khana, Delhi which belongs to accused Mohd. Salim and 66 counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company, 972 empty packing boxes and other material used for packing of bearings were recovered. Mohd. Salim disclosed that he is involved in stamping/packing of counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company for the last one year.

Further investigation/interrogation is in progress and efforts are being made to nab accused persons Mohd. Naim and Mohd. Sajid.

  1. Sheshmani Yadav s/o Hira Lal Yadav r/o H.No.B-44, Gali No. 1, Indira Vihar, Ghaziabad (UP) is 48 years old. He studied upto 8th class. He is married and has five children. He is selling counterfeit/duplicate accessories of Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company for the last four months.
  1. Mohd. Salim s/o Mohd. Yasin r/o H No. 1385, Chatta Rajan, Farash Khana, Delhi 6 is 46 years old. He has studied up to 7th class. He is married and has three children. He is assembling/packing duplicate Ball Bearing of “SKF” Company for the last two years.
  1. Mukesh Jain s/o B.R. Jain r/o B-6/41, II Floor, Rohini, Sector-5, New Delhi -85 is 33 years old. He has studied up to 12th class. He is married. He is selling counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company for the last one year.
  1. Parveen Rohtgai s/o Late Chander Mohan r/o GF, Plot No. 72, Ramprastha, Sector-7, Pocket-1, Vaishali, Ghaziabad (UP) is 56 years old. He has studied up to B. Com. He is married and has two children. He is selling counterfeit/duplicate Ball Bearings of “SKF” Company for the last two years.
