GWIZDZ, Carol Sue - Of Swartz Creek, age 55, died Saturday, August 5, 2000 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM Wednesday, August 9, 2000 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth in Flint, Father William Wegher officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to McLaren Hospice or St. Michael's Catholic Church. Visitation 5-9PM Monday and 1-4 and 6-9PM Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A rosary will be prayed at 7:30PM with a Vigil service at 8PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Gwizdz will be at the church from 9AM Wednesday until the time of the Mass. Mrs. Gwizdz was born in Flint, Michigan on January 10, 1945 and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. She married Anthony Gwizdz on June 19, 1965. She attended St. Pius X for several years. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, receiving Volunteer Of The Year, 1993-1994. Mrs. Gwizdz completed the education to serve as a Pharmacy Tech. She was a licensed cosmetologist. Surviving are husband, Anthony; 2 daughters, Ann and husband Joel Davis of Phoenix, Arizona, Stephanie and husband Daron Jones of Austin, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Jarod Gwizdz Davis, Madeline Elizabeth and Meredith Ann Jones; several brothers, sisters and friends. Her parents, Leon and Evelyn Keeley, preceded her in death.
