FIRST LADIES’ TEAM LEADERS
BIBLE STUDY – Kay Calavan
Bible studies are offered throughout the year with a variety of topics and authors. Each study is facilitated by a member of First Baptist Church or our association. We offer courses with a varying degree of difficulty and homework. So if you have never been involved in an in-depth Bible Study, please make it a priority. Being in a Bible Study allows you to meet women on a more personal level and develop deeper relationships with Christ as your common bond.
COMMUNICATIONS – Sue Branan, Jenni Dunn
Communication is important to the success of any ministry. We depend on an artistic group of women to keep us informed of activities, studies, and prayer needs of our women by updating bulletin boards, as well as, publishing our quarterly newsletter “By the Way” and writing updates for our church newsletter “The Challenger.” If you have artistic ability or writing talent, please contact Sue to get involved.
EVENTS – Leadership Team
Special events are held periodically throughout the year by bringing in special speakers, as well as, using talent within our church. Some events are spiritual in nature and others just for fun. Our goal is to have a girls’ night out at least once a quarter. The event team coordinates all special events during the year. There are needs for decorators, ticket sellers, food committee members, entertainment coordinators, servers, clean up and greeters. If you have the ability to come up with great ideas for parties, inspirational devotionals, meaningful get-togethers or putting together retreats or trips, contact Tara and join the fun.
LOL (Loving Our Ladies) – Susan Chitwood
The LOL Team matches active members to those ladies that are unable to attend church any longer. Our goal is to visit them once a month or more often if possible to make sure they know they have not been forgotten now that they cannot attend. If you have some time that you could visit these sweet ladies, you can make a difference in their lives.

PRAYER –Neva Schoonover
Prayer is the foundation of all of our teams. This team supports FIRST Ladies’ by praying for special events and coordinating the e-mail prayer chain. They encourage women to learn to make prayer part of their daily life…seek to communicate with God…yearn to sit quietly in God’s presence…and listen to God speak to your heart. Express your devotion to God. Join the FIRST Ladies’ in prayer.
SPECIAL PROJECTS – Vicki Pack
Our Special Projects Team strives to give us opportunities outside our regular routine. This team organizes the women of FBC to man the candy shop in the Christmas Village in December, plans our annual retreat away, supporting our local Pregnancy Resource Center’s Abstinence Tea for area 7th grade girls, and other projects that may arise.
