It is our pleasure to inform you that you can apply to the German Jordanian University for the 2ndsemester of the academic year 2014/2015.
First: DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED TO YOUR APPLICATION FORM
Please provide a printout of the two page application form, filled and signed, along with the following documents:
1) Two recent personal photos (size 4 cm X 6 cm). Please write your name on the back of your photo.
2) A certified photocopy of your Identification Card (for Jordanian students only).
3) A certified photocopy of your personal data as per your passport for non-Jordanian students, and a photocopy for Jordanian students.
4) A photocopy of your Flag /National Service Book (for Jordanian male students only).
5) A NON – REFUNDABLE Application Fee (25 Jordanian Dinars) is payable at the university.
6) for Jordanian Students:
a) Applicants with Arab Certificates
A certified* photocopy of any Arabic General Secondary Education Certificate Transcript issued by the Ministry of Education in any of the Arab countries
b) Applicants with Foreign Certificates
A certified* photocopy of an Equivalency ** issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Education, for any of the foreign certificates such as (IB, IGCSE/GCE, HSD & SAT II), and a certified* photocopy of all the passed subjects and their marks/grades.
7) for Non-Jordanian Students:
a) Applicants with Jordanian Certificates (Tawjihi)
An original copy or a certified* photocopy of your Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate Transcript (Tawjihi)
b) Applicants with Arab Certificates
A certified* photocopy of any Arabic General Secondary Education Certificate Transcript issued by the Ministry of Education in any of the Arab countries
c) Applicants with Foreign Certificates
A certified* photocopy of an Equivalency from the Ministry of Education in the Arab country that issued the foreign certificate (such as IB, IGCSE/GCE, HSD & SAT II), and a certified* photocopy of the passed subjects and their marks/grades
OR
A certified* photocopy of an Equivalency ** issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Education, for any of the foreign certificates (such as IB, IGCSE/GCE, HSD & SAT II) if not issued from an Arab country, and a certified* photocopy of all the passed subjects and their marks/grades.
Note: Your application will not be considered if not signed and complete.

Second: In order to qualify for graduation from the German Jordanian University each and every student must spend one academic year (fourth year), studying and training in Germany.
It must be noted that all enrolled students are responsible for all the financial expenses during their residency in Germany, which could be (8,000 up to 10,000) Jordanian Dinars.

* Students who apply for these majors must sit for an entrance exam.
Fourth: ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS
The Minimum required average for admission to all the Engineering majors is 80%
and the Minimum required average for admission to Design and Visual Communication, to German and English for Business and Communication and to Translation majors is 70% and the Minimum required average for admission to all the other non-Engineering majors at GJU is 75%.
Please note that you still have to compete with all the other applicants. The students with the highest averages will be accepted.
Additionally, students applying to study Architecture, or Design and Visual Communication, or Translation must sit for an entrance exam.
Students can apply, according to their stream in the secondary certificate, as follows:
Scientific Stream: can apply for all the offered majors.
Literary/Sharia’h Streams: can apply for the following majors: Management Sciences/ Logistic Sciences/ International Accounting/ German and English for Business and Communication / Translation: German-English-Arabic/ Design and Visual Communication.
Information Technology Stream: can apply for the following majors: Computer Science/ Management Sciences/ Logistic Sciences / International Accounting / German and English for Business and Communication / Translation: German-English–Arabic/ Design and Visual Communication.
Comprehensive Health Education Stream: can apply for the following majors: Management Sciences/ Logistic Sciences/ International Accounting/ German and English for Business and Communication / Translation: German-English-Arabic.
Industrial Stream: can apply for Computer Science and for all the offered Engineering majors except Architecture.
Commercial/ Hotel Streams: can apply for the following majors: Management Sciences/ Logistic Sciences/ International Accounting/ German and English for Business and Communication / Translation: German-English-Arabic.
Home Economics and Agricultural Streams: can apply for the Computer Science majors.
Fifth: The appropriately filled and signed application form along with the required documents can be handed directly to the Admission and Registration Department at the German Jordanian University.

Entrance exam for Architecture and Design & Visual Communication
Please note that there is a compulsory entrance exam for the two majors; Architecture and Design & Visual Communication.
There is a 50 JDs fee for the exam( Non- Refundable).
You have to go the School of Architecture and Built Environment in Jabal Amman, First Circle. to get an appointment to sit for the exam, to pay the exam fee, and to know the required papers.
