The industry sectors are based on the 15 highest employing industry sectors within California that provide students with high skill levels, high wages, employment opportunities, and career ladder opportunities.· Agriculture & Natural Resources

Career Pathway Standards
Each sector is further divided into two to seven career pathways. Each pathway includes essential knowledge and skills students are expected to master to be successful in a specified cluster of occupations within the industry sector.Foundation Standards
Each sector includes foundation standards. The 11 foundation standards are common across all 15 industry sectors and include essential components that have been identified as fundamental skills and knowledge necessary in preparing all students for college, careers, and citizenship.1.0 Academic
