Famous Scientist Poster (20 pts)

Due Date: Friday, October 6 (A) or Tuesday, October 10 (B)

You and your group will select a scientist to research and present in the form of a poster. Within a class, each group will have a different scientist to research.

1. Put the person’s name in large easy to read letters (include a picture of the person if you can find one). Find out where and when the scientist lived.

2. Include their major contribution to our knowledge of chemistry, the elements, or atoms. You must include either a drawing, diagram, or picture for this part. (ex: they might have done a famous experiment).

3. Include one or two other interesting facts about the person. (ex: Galileo was excommunicated for his scientific theories, Einstein was a violinist, etc.)

4. Remember, it is a poster, not an essay. Don’t make it too wordy! Use colors, drawings, clip art, etc. Be creative!

5. Neatness and effort will count.

6. On Wednesday/Thursday, you will need to turn in one fact that you will use on your poster.

You will have some time on Wednesday, October 4 (A) or Thursday, October 5 (B). Anything not finished will need to be done outside of class.
