Truck Driver
Part time – 25 hours per week
The St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland Madonna House Toowoomba is the main receipt and distribution point for material donations to the Toowoomba Diocesan Central Council. Various Society staff and volunteers work closely with our Conferences who assist those in need with clothing, furniture and other material available through the Society.
We are seeking to appoint a self motivated and safety conscious Truck Driver with a Queensland MR Drivers licence and Forklift licence. A good driving record is required.
Currently, the position is based at our Madonna House depot in Toowoomba but depending on operational demands, the base of the Truck Driver may change.
To be successful, applicants will need to address the following Selection Criteria:
· Current Qld MR Drivers licence and Forklift licence
· Excellent driving record and a minimum of 3 years’ experience driving MR vehicles
· Sound knowledge of the Toowoomba area
· Well developed communication skills and professional presentation
· Understanding and knowledge of loading, unloading and securing of load techniques including workplace health and safety policies and procedures
· Ability to take pride and care in work activities and societies vehicles
· Ability to work within the philosophy of the Society and in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and missions of the Society
· Supply a copy of current QLD driving history
· Must be willing to undergo a pre- employment medical assessment prior to employment.
