2017-2018 Mini-Grant Program

MISSION

The Fairview School Foundation Mini-Grant Program is designed to provide an opportunity and learning experience for educators within the Fairview School District. The program’s goal is to encourage innovative, collaborative, and creative classroom projects that support current state and national initiatives, research, and high learning standards.

INTRODUCTION

Regular Mini-Grant:

A grant for one or more teachers/educators or school-approved organizations to design, develop, and implement a project that supports innovative, creative classroom work based upon current research and aligned with the Missouri Show-Me Standards

Grant Amounts/Application

($1.00-$350.00)

APPLICATION PROCESS

Mini-Grant applications are available at: http://fairviewfoundation.org/grant_program

1.  Applications must be submitted to the Fairview Administrative Offices by 4:00 p.m. September 14th, 2017.

2.  Applications will be reviewed and winners notified by September 28th 2017.

3.  Please complete the Pertinent Information Form and the Application Proposal Form. The Application Proposal Form must be typed or word-processed.

4.  A copy of the Information Form should be signed by the School Principal in order to maintain open lines of communication regarding the project request.

The Mini-Grant Committee reserves the right to fund your request in whole or part dependent on committee interpretation of whether resources may be available through other venues.

The project budget should include a breakdown of the following:

·  Materials

·  Supplies

·  Shipping/Handling (if applicable)

The following items will not be considered for funding and therefore should not be included in your proposal:

·  Salaries

·  Stipends

·  Field Trips

·  Reward Incentives

Due to limited resources and a technology focus we will no longer approve multiple Grants for same teachers/educator.

Prior to April 1st, 2018, we ask that you furnish a written report to the Foundation. This report should contain an account of what was accomplished by the expenditure of funds (including a description of progress made toward achieving the goals of the mini-grant), and a financial accounting of the use of the funds. Failure to furnish a report may affect your eligibility for future grants.
