You are going to create a child’s book illustrating the structure of the organelles in a eukaryotic cell and the function of the organelles so that a child of 6 or 7 years of age can understand the material. Use the following checklist to be sure you get maximum points!
ü Your book must introduce to the children what a eukaryotic cell is and where they would find this type of cell (5pts).
ü Your book must explain the function of the following eukaryotic organelles in a storybook format (5 pts each= 50pts total):
1. plasma membrane
2. nucleus
3. cytoplasm
4. ribosome
5. mitochondria
6. lysosome
7. golgi apparatus
8. endoplasmic reticulum
9. vacuole
10. cytoskeleton
ü Your book must be minimum 10 pages.
ü Your book must include at least 5 flip-up, pullout or pop up pages (5 pts each=25pts total).
ü All illustrations in your book must be colored or in color (5 pts).
ü Text must be neat and easy to read (5pts).
ü Be creative (5pts).
ü Tell a story (5 pts).
