ESL CADRE TEACHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
The West Virginia Department of Education is pleased to partner with Marshall University (MU), to offer a an ESL Cadre professional development program for teachers interested in working with students from a diverse language and cultural background.
From Fall 2011 through 2013, Cadre members will receive training through MU courses to be completed through an on-line program and a 3 credit hour ESL practicum experience (for more information regarding the course schedule see page 2 of the application or contact Dr. Nega Debela (304) 746-8931 or ). Upon completion, cadre members will receive an ESL endorsement through this tuition free program.
Training is available for K-12 teachers/administrators. A maximum of 40 participants (limit 2 per county) will be accepted into the program. This experience is crucial for any educator working in today’s diverse classroom.
