Event Pipeline for Engage

· November 17th (1pm-3pm) – A Fun Day of Arts and Crafts with Little Smiles at Plantation General Hospital. Ashley Gordon is PM.

o About Little Smiles - “A non-profit organization that provides toys, games, DVD’s computers, VIP outings, celebrity meet and greets, concert/sporting/theme park tickets, fun food runs, nerf gun wars and much much more…. for children in local hospitals, hospices and shelters. Little Smiles mission is to put a smile back on the faces of children who need it most”

o This event has reached capacity – 8 volunteers – SUCCESS!

· November 22nd – Volunteer duties include set-up, manning water stations, directing runners and clean-up. Different shifts are available between the hours of 4:00am-10:00am. Volunteer Coordinators - Juliana Ospina and Rachel Woolford

o Volunteer assistance is still needed for the Annual Turkey!

o About – Emerge Broward and iTrace Foundation, Inc. will be working together to raise funds and awareness to support healthy living and childhood obesity.

· December Event- 7th Annual Movie in the Park. Our committee will be assisting Hope Outreach a non-profit that provides resources for families in need. We will be working on a food/toiletry drive. PM needed.

o Important! We need several PMs to assist in organizing the food/toiletry drive

o Reach out to retailers for donations – boxes and/or reusable bags to store and distribute food

· Upcoming Projects for next year? Feel free to share information about projects that you would like our group to get involved in! Three AMAZING guest speakers came to the meeting to discuss possible projects for 2013 – WELCOME!

o Heather Geronemous, Walk Like MADD

§ About - WALK like MADD®, is MADD's signature walk event. In 2011, in almost 40 cities around the nation, thousands of people will participate in 5K walks to celebrate creating a brighter future without drunk driving and underage drinking
