EVANGELINE

Vengeance is darker than death.

Short Synopsis:

Evangeline Pullman (Kat de Lieva) has just left the sheltered upbringing to reinvent herself in college. As she begins to break out of her shell, she attracts the attention of a violent fraternity leader (Richard Harmon) and his two cohorts. Beaten and dumped in the woods to die, Evangeline finds herself trapped in a supernatural nightmare, where she must choose between vengeance and redemption.

Long Synopsis:

Evangeline (Kat de Lieva) leaves home after her younger sister Clara dies of cancer. Naïve but determined, she moves to the big city to attend university, where she quickly makes new friends – Shannon, Mark and Molly.

She is elated to discover an exciting world previously unknown to her, and unwittingly attracts the attention of a rich college sociopath. Michael Konner (Richard Harmon) and his group of thrill-seeking friends drug Evangeline and play a horrific game of hide-and-seek in the dark forest.

A group of homeless vagabonds discover her broken body. Billy, a young Aboriginal war vet nurses her back from death. Evangeline is caught between a supernatural purgatory and her own frail mortality. Permanently altered by her ordeal: she is scarred and mute.

One afternoon, alone at the campsite, Dee, a drug addict, attacks Evangeline. Her panic and struggle quickly turns into vengeful glee. Evangeline realizes there is another consciousness within her. Terrified by this, Evangeline flees from the camp, only to fall victim to a serial killer.

Mr. K (David Lewis) has been killing female hitchhikers along a lonely stretch of highway. As she is victimized, Evangeline is possessed and empowered by the dark spirit from purgatory. Evangeline turns the table on Mr. K and brutally exacts her bloody vengeance.

Evangeline finds herself trapped in a supernatural nightmare, where she must choose between redemption or forever bonded to the darkness of revenge.
