Durango Bluegrass Meltdown Local Band Submission Request

The Meltdown is a proud supporter of the local bluegrass music scene. We are committed to enriching the community by encouraging and promoting local talent. As our mission states, we are dedicated to preserving bluegrass as an American art form and its fruition begins with you! We are excited to receive your submission to this long-standing tradition, and we thrive on local contributions to the Meltdown community.

Requirements for submission:

Local bluegrass and old-time bands are required to be performing as a band regularly throughout the year. Acoustic stringed instruments only (no drums, no keyboards, etc.).

Benefits of participation:

In lieu of monetary compensation, each band member will receive 2 all access passes to the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown. This includes admission to all performances and “green room” access, which provides food and libations throughout the festival. Children are not allowed in the Green Room without proper credentials, i.e., if you want to give your child your one and only extra Green Room pass, that is okay but, you will not get any extra passes.

Expectations of participants:

We ask that everyone respect the large number of participants that we accommodate during the weekend festivities. As a non-profit, we operate on a limited budget and our resources can only accommodate performers, volunteers, and guests. Please be mindful of others while accessing the green room. A little must go a long way.

Submissions must include:

· BAND NAME

· BAND BIO (including all band member names and instrumentation, along with a description of your band)

· BAND PHOTO

· STAGE PLOT

· SPECIAL STAGE REQUIREMENTS
