Quilted Horses
A quilt is a combination of fabric, batting, and threads which make a covering to keep warm. Many older quilts were made using leftover pieces of clothing and tidbits of fabric found around a household. On plantations, many slaves created story quilts which incorporated history into the piece.
Nowadays, quilts can be used to make a person feel happy, sad, angry, or calm. Look at the two quilts and see how they make you feel. Do they tell a story? What story do they tell?
