VACMS is delighted that you will be attending the 4th annual conference. The NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton has generously welcomed the Mathematics Specialist Conference and all conference registered participants and presenters; making their conference space available and also providing the conference with logistical support. This is a secure government site and therefore all visitors must follow the guidelines for appropriate use. You are welcome to bring your laptops and Wi-Fi is available in the conference site.

Langley Research Center is the oldest of NASA’s field centers, located in Hampton, Virginia. It directly borders Poquoson, Virginia and Langley Air Force Base.

Note that the entrance to the NASA Langley Research Center site is close to but different from the entrance gate to the Langley Air Force base. The directions that follow are for the NASA Langley Research Center site and a link to Map It to secure driving directions from your departure location. The driver and all passengers will need to check in at the Badge and Pass Office just outside the entrance gate.

Please note: The following directions from I-64 will take you Langley Boulevard and the NASA Langley facilities.


From Points East, South (View Bing Map)

· At I-64 exit 262B, take ramp right for SR-134 North/Magruder Boulevard toward Poquoson/NASA

· Take ramp right for SR-172 North/Commander Shepard Boulevard toward NASA/LAFB

· Turn right onto Langley Boulevard

· Arrive at the Badge and Pass Office

From Points West, North (View Bing Map)

· At I-64 exit 261B, take ramp right and follow signs for Hampton Roads Center Parkway

· Take ramp right and follow signs for Magruder Boulevard/SR-134

· Turn left onto SR-134 North/Magruder Boulevard

· Take ramp right for SR-172 North/Commander Shepard Boulevard toward NASA/LAFB

· Turn right onto Langley Boulevard

· Arrive at the Badge and Pass Office

The driver and all passengers must check in at the Badge and Pass Office shown marked with the arrow. Then proceed through the security gate and then to the parking area.

INFORMATION FOR CONFERENCE CENTER AND PARKING AREAS

Check in at the Badge and Pass Office and then continue through the security gate on Langley Blvd and then an immediate turn left onto West Taylor St. Park in one of the lots indicated below. Proceed to the main entrance of the Integrated Engineering Services Building which houses the Reid Conference Center (Building 2102) to pick up your conference materials at the VACMS registration desk.

There are parking spaces next to 2102, Reid Conference Center.

· 65 including 3 handicap southwest parking lot next to building

· 18 including 4 handicap old cafeteria parking lot

· Additional parking is located in the parking lot across the street by Buildings 1146-1147, (179 including 8 handicap). In addition there is parking next to Building 1212.
