Polishing Compounds

Choose the right compound for your application.

·  Bobbing Compound - For fast cutting on soft metals such as gold, silver aluminum and brass. Sticks well to laps and brushes. A very aggressive cutting agent.

·  Tripoli - Standard brown cutting compound for removing scratches. Leaves surface scratch free, but dull in appearance. Often used before a final polishing process.

·  Gray Star - An aggressive, dry compound for removing deep scratches. Leaves a uniform finish. Excellent on harder metals such as platinum, titanium or stainless, but can be used on gold, silver or brass.

·  Red Rouge - The standard of the industry. Imparts a deep and extremely high luster on soft metals. Commonly used as a final finish.

·  Green Rouge - Produces a high luster on white gold, stainless, silver and platinum.

·  Pro-Shine Pink - A new single step polishing compound that produces a high shine finish on all types of metals while providing a moderate cutting action that will remove most scratches. A new binding formula will give you a cleaner work environment and reduce clean up time.

·  Peach Rouge - A very good cutting bar on all hard metals such as chrome, carbon, heat treated and stainless steel. Also excellent on platinum and sterling.

·  Aqua-Green Rouge - Exceptionally fine bar that leaves a very high luster on chromium, sterling, stainless steel and platinum.

Polishing Compounds in Peel Back Tubes

These compounds come in no-mess, peel back tubes. The cardboard tubes help keep hands and work areas clean.

·  Black Rouge - For producing a rich, dark luster on white gold, platinum or silver.

·  Green Rouge - Produces a high luster on white gold, stainless, silver and platinum.

·  Plastic Rouge - For polishing hard plastics. Great for plastic watch crystals.

·  Red Rouge - The standard of the industry. Imparts a deep and extremely high luster on soft metals. Commonly used as a final finish.

·  Water Soluble Red Rouge - Special formulation makes this rouge easier to clean up in water.

·  Tripoli - Standard brown cutting compound for removing scratches. Leaves surface scratch free, but dull in appearance. Often used before a final polishing process.

·  White Rouge - A quick polishing compound for hard metals like chrome, stainless steel or platinum.

·  Yellow Rouge - A low residue producing rouge for hard metals like stainless, chrome or platinum.

·  Fabuluster - Provides a high luster on all types of metal. Formulated to remove light scratches and produce a bright, mirror shine finish. Excellent for platinum, chrome, yellow & white gold and stainless steel.

·  New Luster - Provides the same superior results as more famous name brands, but at a fraction of the cost.

·  Zam - Formulated especially for silver. Will remove light scratches but will not scratch stones such as turquoise. Does not cling to or penetrate surfaces making it quick to clean up.

·  Platinum Pre-Polish – For work on platinum. General purpose compound for preliminary finishing.

·  Platinum SuperShine – For surface smoothing. Leaves a shiny surface.

·  Platinum UltraShine – For a final finish. Used to achieve a distinctive mirror type luster.

Dialux Polishing Compounds

Dialux is imported from France and is made of carefully graded abrasives and bonding agents. This selection process allows the compound good adhesion to the fibers of brushes, buffs and felts. Only a minimal amount of compound needed.

·  Blue Dialux – A universal type of polishing compound that can be used on all metals.

·  White Dialux – Perfect for sterling silver and other silver alloys.

·  Green Dialux – Used to polish hard metals such as stainless steel, & chrome.

·  Red Dialux – Optimal results on yellow gold.

·  Orange Dialux – Produces a high shine on soft metals.

·  Yellow Dialux – Used on brass and copper.

·  Gray Dialux – Used to produce a high shine on platinum and other hard surfaces.

Crystal Rouge

Make old plastic crystals new again by removing light surface scratches and blemishes with this easy to use compound. The buff is charged with the compound and the crystal is lightly buffed. Sold in 5 oz. bar.

These buffs are used to produce a high final polish. The extra soft muslin material is held by leather centers. They are available with stitching to create a firm buff, or loose for an even softer feeling buff.

Brilliant Blue Buffs

These chemically treated buffs impart an amazing finish on precious metals. The special blue treatment creates a firm buff, but leaves the fine, combed muslin edges soft enough for final polishing. Polishing Blocks

These new polishing blocks are used to remove scratches, blemishes and rust from watch cases, bands, bracelets and case backs. They also leave a smooth, uniform satin finish and come in coarse, medium and fine grits. Each block measures 2-1/2” x 1-1/2 x 7/16”. Made in Japan.

PolyWatch Scratch Remover

Simply apply PolyWatch to the plastic watch crystal. Polish the scratched area for 2 to 3 minutes with great pressure at a right angle to the scratches using a piece of cotton wool (not provided). The plastic crystal is very slightly dissolved and ground down by tiny abrasive particles. The edges are then smoothed off and the cracks filled in with some of the original plastic from the watch crystal. Tube contains 5 ml, enough to do approximately 10 applications.
