1. Deputy vice chancellor positions
There are four Deputy Vice Chancellor positions with responsibility for the following broad areas:
· Learning and Teaching
· Student Recruitment
· The Student Experience
· Academic Planning and Quality
· Research and Commercialisation of IP
· Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education
· Academic Staff Issues
· General Staff Issues
· Equity
· Strategic Planning
· External Engagement
· Alumni
· Fundraising
· Corporate Services
2. SENIOR DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR
One of the Deputy Vice Chancellors may be designated as Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor by Council on the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor. The Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor will be the standing deputy to the Vice Chancellor.
3. deputy vice chancellor titles and portfolios
The University Council will determine the specific titles of the Deputy Vice Chancellors (such as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic)) while the Vice Chancellor has authority to assign specific portfolios to each of them, including line management of central offices.
4. vice president (corporate services)
The title of the Deputy Vice Chancellor responsible for corporate services will be Vice President (Corporate Services).
5. portfolio responsibilities
The specific responsibilities of each Deputy Vice Chancellor are set out in each of the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Position Statements which set out the Portfolio Responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Vice Chancellor.
6. DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR APPOINTMENTS
The University Council is responsible for the appointment of individuals to a Deputy Vice Chancellor position unless it delegates authority to a selection committee to make an appointment.
