Note regarding agenda structure:
Plenary discussions will provide the entire audience with basic knowledge on a particular area of demand reduction.
The two-hour workshops (divided by a 15 minute break) following the plenaries are opportunities for participants to delve deeper into the plenary topics. During the workshops, participants will: 1) have more time to discuss the issues/ask questions related to the plenary discussion; 2) identify gaps in the field/specific area discussed in the plenary 3) craft recommendations for moving forward. There will also be one workshop during each session not directly related to the plenary discussion, but covering a separate demand-reduction topic.
Details of plenaries and workshops, including speakers are still being finalized.
The networking room will be open for the entire duration of the Colloquium. It will include an international art exhibit, information tables for participants to share information and research, books for sale, viewing areas for the Cook County Sheriff’s Office “john school” DVD, and other items to inspire as well as build the knowledge base of participants.
