Dear Parents of Basketball Camper,

We are happy that he will have the opportunity to attend the Saint John’s University Basketball Camp for the week of

July 9-13-(Session I) or July 16-20-(Session II), 2017. We hope to make the week an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

When you get to the first 4-way stop sign on campus, make a left and an immediate right into the parking lot for the Athletic buildings (Warner Palaestra).

Registration scheduled on Sunday (Please also for DAY CAMPERS - attend on Sunday evening)

5:45-6:45pm Registration in the Warner Palaestra McNeeley Spectrum

7:00pm Campus tour – leaving from dorm

7:15pm Orientation meeting for all campers will be held in the Warner Palaestra

What to bring:

Basketball shoes Pillow/pillow case Swim suit/towel

Socks/underwear - at least one clean pair for each day Small allowance

Basketball shorts Sandals/shower shoes

T-shirts/jerseys for basketball Toilet articles

Pajamas Workout clothes

Jacket or sweatshirt Fan for room…rooms are not air conditioned

Laundry machines are available for your use if you bring detergent

Blanket/sheets /linens are provided

Optional: Tennis racquet, racquetball racquet

**Please come equipped with functional basketball gear. Try and avoid brand new basketball shoes, they can cause blisters.

Try and break them in first. Many campers bring 2 pairs of basketball shoes, although this is not required.

**Each evening, the campers will have free-time to swim, play racquetball or use the rock climbing wall. There is a fee associated with using the climbing facilities ($5.00 per night to rent climbing equipment). The required Climbing Wall waiver form must be checked on your registration in case your son maybe interested in using this facility.

Allowance: An allowance of $35.00-$50.00 should be sufficient for all campers. All campers receive one Camp T-shirt upon arrival.

All campers are responsible for their room keys. A fine of $50.00 will be charged for lost keys.

Awards Program: You are invited to attend the awards program in the Warner Palaestra Gymnasium at the end of the camp session at 4:00 pm on Thursday.

Insurance: As indicated in the Basketball Camp Brochure, each camper should have health and accident insurance. Saint John’s does not provide such insurance. The required health form information account numbers must be filled in with your registration.
