Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
Thank you for all of your continued support with so many missed days.
Here's a look ahead to what the students will be learning next week, we will be continuing many of the things we have been doing:
Math — Students will use a 12-inch ruler to measure to the nearest inch or foot. They will also describe how the measurement of an object relates to the size of the unit chosen. Additionally, students will use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve word problems involving lengths given in inches.

Reading — Students will determine the meaning of words using prefixes. We will also work on identifying and considering different points of view. What’s more, students will also participate in collaborative conversation to analyze vocabulary using a vocabulary word.
Writing — We continue to focus on opinion writing. By the end of the quarter, students will be able to listen to state an opinion and supply reasons to support their belief. Students will writing their opinion pieces about whether or not they think there should be zoos.
Science — Classes continue to observe properties of the sun and moon as they change over time. They will identify and describe physical features of the moon as well as draw, label, and compare physical features between the Earth and the moon. The students will also share descriptions of observable changes of seed and plant growth with others.
