Fundraising Programs

Dear PTIC Parent,

Did you know that Strawberry Park Elementary PTIC raises funds throughout the year to help support your child’s classroom with extra supplies to enhance instruction? PTIC has raised funds to fulfill teacher wish lists which run the gamete from summer reading program, math manipulatives, science school, African Drums, laptops & LCD projectors, to replacing the cross country ski fleet. PTIC needs your help in supporting the existing and new programs that raise money for our school.

How can I help with these efforts?

You can help by doing things that you probably already do! It’s so easy!

· Safeway Grocery Card program: When you shop at Safeway using a $100 grocery card, then $5 is earned by Strawberry Park Elementary.

Here’s what you do: Purchase Safeway grocery cards each week from the school office or downtown at Eighth Street West.

· City Market Cares program: When you shop at City Market and have a value card, designate Strawberry Park Elementary as your charitable organization and a portion of each grocery purchase goes to your school.

Here’s what you do: Stop by the Guest Service department at City Market and ask to update your account information. Select Strawberry Park Elementary as your charitable organization (code #17). You can also download a City Market form off the PTIC web-page from the SPE website. Complete the form and return it to your child’s classroom teacher.

· Qwest Gives program: If you use Qwest phone service and are willing to choose the paper-less billing option, then Qwest will give 1% of your billing to your school of choice, or SPE. Our school district is Steamboat Springs RE-2.

Here’s what you do: Register for Qwest Gives at the website below.

· Target Red Card “Take Charge of Education:” If you choose to have a Target Red card, 1% of your Red Card purchases bought at Target stores will be donated to your school. If you utilize the Target VISA at non-Target locations, then 0.5% of your purchases are donated to your school.

Here’s what you do: Register for a Target Red Card at the website below.

· Innisbrook Online: offers gifts and wrapping paper just in time for Christmas, delivered direct to the recipient. The school receives a 50% commission on all sales. This is our largest fund-raiser of the year.

Here’s what you do: simply visit www.innisbrook.com to review the great selections and place your order. Be sure to enter our school number 122776.

· Cash donation to PTIC: Consider making a tax-deductible donation to “SPE PTIC.” Just drop off your tax-deductible donation to your child’s classroom teacher.

Sincerely,
