The Starz Saturday Premieres for the month of October are The Princess and the Frog (10/2) featuring the voices of Oprah Winfrey and Anika Noni Rose; Astro Boy (10/16 at 8:00 p.m.) featuring the voices of Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell and Freddie Highmore; When in Rome (10/23) starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel; and The Crazies (10/30) starring Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell and Danielle Panabaker.
Encore celebrates Halloween with “Fear Fest” – a marathon of horror on Sunday, October 31 featuring such films as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, The Fly, Christine, Fright Night, Hellraiser and Candyman. There’s also a nine-film spotlight on funnyman Dan Aykroyd.
Encore Westerns has a “Six-Gun Salute” to directors on Saturday, October 23 featuring the works of Sam Peckinpah, Walter Hill, Arthur Penn, Fritz Lang, Robert Altman, Robert Wise and Nicholas Ray.

Starz Entertainment’s hilarious stand-up comedy series, “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up” continues its fifth season with a new host, comedian Sheryl Underwood, and a fresh line-up of rising and seasoned comedy stars. The show, which is Starz’ longest running original series, airs Fridays at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
Underwood will step in for original host Doug Williams, who will continue to serve as executive producer of the show. Comedians scheduled to appear in the series include Deon Cole, who will also guest host two episodes, Sandra Bernhard, Jimmie “J.J.” Walker, Roz G, D’Militant, Scruncho, Darren Carter, Pierre, Jay Phillips, Melanie Comarcho, Ian Edwards, Chocolate, Damon Williams, among others.
