Dear Agricultural Educators,
The 2015 Northern Oklahoma College Agriculture Interscholastic Meet will be held over two days this year. The Livestock Judging Contest will be held on Monday, January 19, and the rest of the contests will be held on Wednesday, January 28. New this year we will award a Single and a Multi-teacher Sweepstakes award in which points will be tabulated from all contests, including livestock judging. This year’s contest will offer competition in the divisions of Ag Communications, Ag Mechanics, Agronomy, Dairy Foods, Entomology, Horticulture Landscape/Nursery, Farm Business Management, Food Science & Technology, Livestock Judging, Meat Science Evaluation and Veterinary Science. See attached list for all contest descriptions and resource information. The divisions for the Livestock Judging Contest will be broken by age not grade (see the entry form for a breakdown of the age divisions), and there will be no separation of the 4-H and FFA teams. Ag Mechanics, Meat Science, and Veterinary Science contestants will not be able to compete in any other contest area. Contestants competing in all other contest areas may enter up to two different contests. Those contestants who participate in the Livestock Judging Contest may compete in other contest areas on January 28. All individuals will be eligible for awards.
Note: Contests will be limited to 2 teams and 2 individuals per contest area. A team may consist of 3 or 4 members with the top 3 scores for placing scores. Exceptions include:
Ag Mechanics: There will be a limit of one Junior (Freshmen and Sophomores) and one Senior (Juniors and Seniors) team (no individuals) per school for the Ag Mechanics contest. Contestants need to bring their own safety glasses, welding helmets, welding gloves, a pair of pliers and appropriate clothing and footwear.
Veterinary Science: There will be a limit of one team per school and no individual contestants.
Livestock Judging: You may enter 2 teams and up to 2 individuals per age division in this contest.
Again, this year we will be awarding an NOC scholarship to an NOC Agriculture Interscholastic participant in the Senior Division. Please see the attached application. Application forms will also be available the day of the contest.
The pre-entry deadlines are January 14, 2015 for the Livestock Judging Contest and January 21, 2015 for the contests held on January 28th. The pre-entry fee for all contests except Ag Mechanics is $20.00 per team and $5.00 per individual, entries received the day of the contest will be $30.00 per team and $7.00 per individual. Ag Mechanics pre-entry fee will be $30 per team and day of entries will be $40 per team.

8:45 Break into groups
9:00 Begin all contests
11:00 Begin reasons (Livestock Contest)
12:30 Lunch – On your own (no lunch break for Livestock Judging)
2:30 Official Placings and Awards – Renfro Center
Please indicate either 3 or 4 member teams as well as any individual contestants and return the entry forms to me as soon as possible. Notice that All Contest Areas have a separate entry form. You may either fax your entry forms to (580) 628-6209, or email them or mail them to Tricia Moore. Changes may be made the day of the contest.
