Our records indicate that you have chosen to continue with the GriffChem program in Year 12 following your success in the Stage 1 examination.
To reiterate our earlier advice - students who go on to pass all the laboratory sessions and the final examination will be eligible to apply for credit for a first semester first year Chemistry course upon entry to any Griffith University program. Students who pass all the laboratory sessions and attain 65% or higher in the final examination, and who meet admission pre-requisites, will receive a guaranteed offer into one of the Griffith University science or engineering programs listed on the attached spreadsheet, on the proviso that the selected program is listed as your first QTAC preference. You will be required to complete the QTAC process. Upon successful completion of the GriffChem program you will be presented with a Certificate that will serve as documentary evidence when applying for credit into a Griffith program.
Throughout Year 12 continuing students will
· be taught the content of the second half of GriffChem within the Year 12 senior chemistry course via lectures, discussions and experiments;
· attend Griffith University to complete four laboratory sessions and write-ups; Details are –

You will be required to submit your lab write-ups by Friday 24 July.
· attend Griffith University for a revision lecture in Semester 2 2009;
· complete the end of course examination towards the end of the Year 12 academic year.
You will have received a Cashier Payment Form, Griffith Course undertaken in High School form, Program summary list and Gold Coast campus map. Please ensure you have made the necessary payment and return the Griffith Course undertaken in High School form on or before the first lab.
You MUST wear closed in shoes to the lab sessions and bring a lab coat. We shall provide drinks and fruit on the day and there are food outlets on campus if you wish to purchase lunch. We look forward to meeting with you on the 10th.
