Brief Biography:
Though working in Mainland China, I was born and brought up in Hong Kong. I am mainly interested in modern Chinese social and cultural history. My doctoral thesis deals with the evolution of provincial and cultural identity of Guangdong. I am currently working on a variety of projects including a study on Chinese natural history drawings by Cantonese artisans in 18th and 19th century.

Chinese social and cultural history, especially late Qing to early Republican period.
