In my role I focus mainly on automating and standardizing deployment.
Responsibilities include:
· Administration and improving of the following services Microsoft Exchange, EMS-Cortex, Active Directory, ESET Nod32 antivirus, Sharepoint 2007/2010, Powershell, Terminal Services with 2X, IIS , Windows 2008, MySQL, MSSQL etc.
· Most of these services ran on virtual machines on Xen 5.x although some physical hosts were still in use.
· I also manage and support hosting services. I’ve implemented a IIS/MySQL solution for a financial services company in the Netherlands.

I started working in a customer team. After a reorganisation the organisation shifted form a Customer Specific approach to a technical team approach

It’s network consists of about a 100 physical servers (Windows 2003, HP-UX and Red Hat Linux, IBM iSeries) and about 150-200 virtual servers on VMWare ESX. About 1500 employees worldwide.
