Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Personal Statement Assignment

Objectives: to prepare and format a working list of accomplishments and strong points for future education and employment as well as prepare a personal statement

Part 1: Procedure: Use the worksheet to plan your CV by listing examples for the subheadings below. Format and type a professional-looking CV. Submit the CV to your teacher in the format requested.

Requirements: CVs must be at least one page in length and may not exceed 2 pages. Subheadings with an asterisk (*) are optional for inclusion on the final product. You must include a minimum of 7 sections. The final product should be typed, professional looking and on time.

41-45 Missing one required element; one or two formatting errors; supporting details unclear or not parallel; no more than three mechanical errors.

21-40 Missing two required elements; three to five formatting errors; supporting details unclear, not parallel; ungapped; more than three mechanical errors.

11-20 Missing three required elements; more than five formatting errors, supporting details unclear and missing; more than five mechanical errors.

0-10 Unacceptable, incoherent, and error filled; longer than two pages.
