CPI Certification Refresher Training

2014-2015

Who is invited?

Educators and building staff who are certified in CPI Training and who need a refresher session to keep their certificate active.

What will you learn?

During this three hour session we will review basic CPI concepts and safe physical restraint techniques. A re-certification test will be given over the material.

When can you be trained?

We will be offering the following Refresher training sessions at the BASSC sites:

· September 15, 2014 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Autism Specific Refresher

· November 14, 2014 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Applied PhysicalRefresher

· January 30, 2015 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Trauma Care Refresher

· June 4, 2015 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. General Refresher

· Trauma Care examines the influence of trauma on behavior and offers strategies and staff approaches to promote a culture of care.

· Applied Physical will focus on the advanced physical techniques.

· Autism Specific will focus on techniques that work well with students on the Autism Spectrum and/or limited language skills.

· All of these trainings qualify as an official refresher for CPI certification.

All trainings are at Pathways Elementary School
