Invent Your Own Character Competition 2018
Kirklees College, Creative & Digital Industries Department (Games) team are inviting budding artists from all our surrounding schools to take part in the Kirklees College Invent Your Own Character Competition 2018.
Competition Guidelines
· This competition is open to students in Years 9 to 11. You therefore must be at least 14 years old by 31 August 2018 and not over the age of 16 on 31 August 2018.
· Please ensure you submit 1 image along with a 200 word character synopsis/storyline to meet the Invent Your Own Character brief.
· Maximum of 1 image per individual entrant. (You cannot submit more than one entry into the competition)
· Shortlisted images will be picked by the judging panel. The judging panel will be made up of art and design tutors.
· Deadline for entries is 12pm on the 6th April 2018. Shortlisted finalists will be notified on the 25 May and the Final will be hosted at our annual Create 2018 Art and Design Exhibition in June. Finalists will be allowed to invite their family and art teacher to the final.
· All entries are to be submitted through email to . Entries must be accompanied by an entry form otherwise they will not be considered for shortlisting.
· Judges will select the single winning image they think best suits the brief. The judge’s decision is final.
· First Prize: Wacom Intuos Graphics Tablet
Second Prize: £50 high street vouchers
Third Prize: £25 high street vouchers
· Please note that the image submitted can and may be used by Kirklees College on social media and maybe used for college marketing purposes.
