Create Part and Decal by PADS

Introduction:
To have a complete component for PADS, we need to create the decal and part (Decal is compenent's footprint and part is the component's circuit)

Prepare:
Tools - Customize - Tools and Menus - Check all for both PADS decal and PADS logic

1. Design Decal
- Open PADS Layout
- Start new
- Tools - PCB Decal Editor
- Wizard (Light on icon) - Enter your desogn specifications - OK
- Change/Modify to what you desire...
- File - Save Decal As...
- "Would you like to create new Part Type?". This is to ask if you want to create part now or later.

2. Design Part
- Open PADS logic
- Tools - Part editor
- Edit Graphic (logic symbol)
- Select gate decal does not existe - Creating decal NEW_PART - OK
- Decal Editing Toolbar (Logic symbol with arrow)
- CEA Decal Wizard (light-on icon)
- File - Return to part
- Save - give a name
- Edit Electrical (IC symbol)
+ General
+ PCB decals - select decal (created above for example)
+ Gates
+ Pins
- Save as - give a name
- Exit Part Editor

3. Using the created part
- Open PADS logic
- Add part (Logic with arrow symbol)
