Craig Abercrombie

Craig Abercrombie started Square Dancing in 1962 and began his Square Dance calling career in 1969.

Following his retirement from the US Postal Service in the fall of 2002, Craig expanded his now 46 year calling career by developing a full time calling program.

Craig is currently calling over 140 nights a year across the United States and Canada. Craig resides in the state of Oregon where he maintains a home program that ranges from mainstream all the way through A-2, cues round dances from easy level through phase 4, and calls for One Night Party Hoedown Dances, some which are annual events.

Craig is an accredited member of CALLERLAB and is ASCAP/BMI licensed. He is past president of the North Willamette Callers & Cuers Association. He is a recording artist and, has recorded for Rawhide-Buckskin Records and previously recorded for Cascade Records.

Craig calls for individual clubs, weekends, and festivals. He currently is on staff at Circle 8 Square Dance Ranch for an annual weekend. Having called at National, State, and other area functions. He would love to call for your function as well!

Craig Abercrombie love of calling is evident by his enthusiasm displayed behind the mike. His smooth-flowing, interesting choreography compliments his extremely popular singing call voice. He believes Square Dancing should be "FUN", no matter what level it is being called. Craig's motto is "If it's not fun, I will not do it!"
