1ST Choice Security Solutions and Advanced Asset Tracking Solutions Inc (AATSI) form partnership to launch a Long Range RFID Transportation Temperature Monitoring System.
Atlanta, GA., June 18, 2010— 1st Choice Security Solutions Inc, has partnered with Advanced Asset Tracking Solutions, Inc. (AATSI) to provide TransTemp, a Long Range RFID Transportation Temperature Monitoring System. TransTemp fully automates real-time temperature monitoring and recording to ensure that products being transported maintain their precise quality during shipment.
The AATSI Temperature Monitoring System provides a multi-communications platform enabling real-time monitoring of storage temperature in transportation vehicles in any geographical location with public mobile network coverage (GSM/CDMA). The TransTemp alarm handling system logs the alarm duration, max/min temperatures and profile if the goods temperature exceeds the food safety standards range. This allows for the user to filter temporary fluctuations in temperature above the alarm limits (eg: defrost cycle in a refrigerator) as “uneventful alarms” to determine the suitability of the quality of the products after an alarm is logged. When the temperature falls back into the normal upper and lower temperature limits, the logging reverts back to the Normal Logging Interval.
RFID Tags are attached to the cartons/pallets of goods for monitoring of various storage temperature requirements during transportation. Tags can be placed into shipping containers, refrigerated containers and trucks, air freight, catering trucks, and goods delivery.
In the event of a refrigeration failure, power failure or a door being left ajar, TransTemp helps reduce waste and loss of costly goods by removing the guess work in determining product quality following the alarms. Downloading the logged information automatically to the server in real time or once the truck or container returns to base, the system can be viewed from an onsite computer or from the AATSI web portal and allows for businesses to achieve and maintain conformance against the HACCP food safety standards.
