Mattress retailer Sleep Outfitters expands to Kingsport with grand opening specials

Latest showroom marks brand’s 160th store

KINGSPORT, TN (August 8, 2017) – Mattress retailer Sleep Outfitters is debuting their newest store in Kingsport, TN this Friday, August 11th, located in front of Home Depot and Burlington Coat Factory on East Stone Drive.

The new 4,000 square-foot, standalone showroom is the company’s nineteenth in Tennessee and their 160th store overall, further developing a regional footprint covering six states, including West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama and Indiana. Fresh out of college, CEO Kim Knopf opened her first mattress store in 1983, and spent the ensuing decades steadily growing her family-owned and operated business, acquiring other brands and rebranding to Sleep Outfitters to better reflect the company’s mission: outfitting customers for a healthier life, through quality sleep. “A lot has changed since I opened my first Mattress Warehouse over three decades ago,” Knopf said. “What hasn't changed is my belief that good sleep is as important as diet and exercise for good health.”

To commemorate this event, Sleep Outfitters is offering two free plush pillows to all who visit this location and complete a Sleep Assessment, a unique process used to match each visitor with the right mattress by addressing their sleep habits and issues. Trained store specialists guide the customer through a simple series of questions to properly fit them for the mattress best suited to benefit their needs. In a one-size-fits-all industry, the Sleep Assessment helps determine a personalized solution that’s right for you.

The new Kingsport store will also feature special financing opportunities to those making a purchase.

Sleep Outfitters features popular Sealy, Stearns & Foster and Tempur-Pedic mattresses and bedroom accessories.
