CONNECTION, TIME, LOVE: SANDALS RESORTS’ RED LANE® SPA INTRODUCES NEW TREATMENTS AND ALL-NATURAL PRODUCT LINE
MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – According to experts, today’s travelers are increasingly stressed, citing fewer vacation days to enjoy, a continued connection to their mobile devices and a constant worry of what’s been left back at home. In fact, a recent Spafinder Wellness 365 consumer survey found that 85 percent of people have returned from a vacation less rejuvenated than when they arrived. Patrick Huey, the recently appointed corporate spa director for Red Lane® Spa, the award-winning exclusive spa for Sandals Resorts, has made it his mission to undo the trend, creating a vacation experience for couples to focus on “connection, time and love.” Under his direction, the Red Lane® Spa introduced new signature treatments curated to promote relaxation and romance and will unveil a new all-natural product line in 2015 representing each of the five islands in which Sandals Resorts properties reside through indigenous scents, aromas and ingredients.
“Like an unforgettable vacation, a visit to the spa can be and should be, transformational,” says Huey. “Red Lane® Spa has developed a wonderful reputation for its ability to infuse Caribbean elements into the spa experience and our newest menu accentuates this concept further, from the majestic landscapes and aromas of the region, to the warmth of the Caribbean people. Our products are made using ingredients from the islands such as coconut, coffee, raw sugar cane and ginger, promoting relaxation, rejuvenation and overall well-being.”
According to the survey, travelers report wanting a more nuanced ‘wellness’ experience during their vacation with 82 percent seeking spa treatments. Huey believes that the path to this sought after wellness immersion begins with intent. “So often couples let everyday worries get in the way of relaxation and opportunities to reconnect, both physically and emotionally. The new experiences we’ve created at Red Lane help dissolve these distractions, all with a decidedly Caribbean flair.” New and recently introduced spa initiatives include:
· Intent on Scent. In 2015, Red Lane® Spa will debut an enhanced all-natural product line which represents the themes and indigenous experiences of the regions of the Caribbean in which Sandals Resorts has properties: Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada and The Bahamas. Featuring body lotion, body butter, shower gel, mineral bath salts, body scrub and organic oils, plus a suncare line, the products will include organic ingredients whenever possible and will be free of parabens, sulfates and synthetic fragrances. o Fevergrass: Representing the island of Jamaica, lemongrass grows wild in the region and is locally known as “Fevergrass.” Combined with the indigenous Ugli Fruit and Green Tea, the aromas of this fresh scent will invigorate and grab the senses, taking you on an aromatic journey
o Wild Sugar: Capturing the sweetness and playfulness of the Eastern Caribbean when the essences of Guava and Green Tea are intermingled with Mango. They are a perfect blend for tropical remembrances
o Sea Breeze: The clean, fresh scent of Sea Grass, Sea Moss and Kelp capture the essence of a breezy, summer beach day spent relaxing under the Northern Caribbean sun
o Spice: Inspired by the country of Grenada known as “Spice Island”, this aroma combines the musky, rich scents of Nutmeg, Bayberry and Clove to take you on a relaxing, southern Caribbean inspired journey

· Romantic Reflection. Couples are encouraged to rekindle the flame through a series exotic massage experiences, focused on the art of touch, serenity and connection. New and signature treatments include:
o Scents of Love - Red Lane® takes them on an aromatic journey to romance and deep connection that highlights the indigenous aromas of the Caribbean. Ranging from Fevergrass and Guava to the subtle essences of an Ocean Breeze, therapists will guide guests through a romantic candle lighting and warm massage oil ritual based upon the chosen sensory experience
o Champagne Celebration - Guests will drift away with a Caribbean-inspired warm island bath while they indulge in a bottle of bubbly and tropical fruits. Then they will close their eyes and fall in love again with a romantic Egyptian-Geranium infused massage performed next to their loved one
o From the Heart - Everything sweet and wonderful about love is in this package. Couples will soothe their mind with a relaxing island bath that is followed by an invigorating island sugar cane exfoliation. They will then be transported into a nurturing aura of warmth with an ‘Infinitely Loving’ massage infused with Chinese Jasmine to melt away tension and complete this tranquil time together
· Journey to You. “As our romance expert Marsha-Ann Brown always says ‘romance is more likely to bloom when you feel fabulous,’” says Huey. “With this in mind, we’ve created private experiences for men and women designed to escape the everyday to become a better partner in their relationship.” A selection of new treatments include:
