Conference Support Application for the 8th American Indian / Indigenous Teacher Education Conference, June 15-17, 2017
A limited amount of financial support is available to support the attendance of teachers and teacher education students at the 8th American Indian / Indigenous Teacher Education Conference. This support available to individuals in the U.S. who may otherwise not be able to attend the conference. Awards are based on your potential for improving the education of American Indian students. Support is being offered to selected recipients to cover up to one-half conference registration, mileage, and lodging with preference given to teachers of math and science who want to learn more about strategies for culturally responsive science and mathematics teaching.
Please complete the conference registration form and the application below. Applications will be reviewed by the conference committee and will be reviewed as they are received until all the support funds are expended. Please complete the attached form and submit a one-page statement of what you are currently doing to support the academic achievement of American Indian students and how you think attending AIITEC 8 will help you in your work, and why you need supplemental funding to attend the conference.
