COMMITTEE ON MINISTRY

We welcomed two new ministers to our presbytery:

· Rev. Murphy Ashley, from New Castle Presbytery, as a member-at-large;

· Rev. Kathryn Snipes Lancaster, from Des Moines Presbytery, as associate pastor, First Congregational Church in La Grange.

We approved the following changes in our churches’ leadership:

· Rev. Andrew Davies was approved as the Designated Associate Pastor at Arlington Heights, Southminster;

· Rev. Garnett Foster, H.R. was approved as the Field Education Coordinator for the Seminary Consortium on Urban Pastoral Education (SCUPE);

· Rev. Colin Eversmann, was approved as Staff Chaplain, Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL.

We said farewell to the following ministers:

· Rev. Leroy Huizenga was released from the exercise of ordained office, without prejudice, at his request;

· Rev. Spencer Lawrence, H.R., was transferred to Blackhawk Presbytery;

· Rev. Debra McGuire, member-at-large, was transferred to San Francisco Presbytery.
