Fall 2012 Application

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the College of Engineering Student Advisory Board. The Board’s purpose is to continuously improve the College of Engineering while acting as the central body providing communication, direction, ideas, and resources to students, organizations, faculty, and alumni.

The Board consists of 37 seats including the 5 executive officers, 2 ASUN representatives, and a representative from all of the College of Engineering student organizations.

Every member of the Board also belongs to a committee. The committees include: Student Life, E-Week, Outreach/External Affairs, and Recognition.

Through the committees, the Board works on a wide range of activities throughout the year. Some activity examples from previous years include:

· Organizing and executing all E-Week events

· Organizing a recognition reception for the graduating seniors at the end of each semester

· Providing free food for engineers one evening during Dead Week

· Creating and distributing awards that are given to students, professors, and departments in the college

· Outreach to students at local elementary and middle schools about engineering

General meetings are held every other Tuesday at 6 pm. Committees within the Board will meet once or twice a month in addition to the general meetings.

To be a member of eSAB, you must be a registered, full-time undergraduate student in the college and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are all welcome to apply! Selection may depend on the number of seats currently available.
