Biography

Cheng Wang was born in 1981 in Hubei Province, The People's Republic of China. After graduating from Wuhan University in 2003, he attended Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, working with Professor Deqing Zhang and Academician Professor Daoben Zhu, where he focuses on the tunable organogel and molecular switches. In 2008, he joined the Stoddart group in Northwestern University as a postdoctoral research associate, he tackled research topics in many different areas ranging from studying mechanically interlocked molecules (MIMs) in solution to mechanized mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNPs) for drug delivery and including the introducing of MIMs into metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). H started his new job on 1st March 2012 as a professor at College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences, Wuhan University.
