CIF CENTRAL SECTION SEQUOIA/SIERRA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Time: 3:30 P.M. Field Events (check attached schedule)

4:30 P.M. Running Events will follow time Schedule

Stadium opens at 2:00 P.M.

Entries: Deadline is Friday May 6th at MIDNIGHT.

All entries must be submitted using ATHLETIC.NET (YOU MUST have a time/distance for all events entered including relays).

ENTETRING THE PROPER TIMES IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

ALL TIMES SUBMITTED MUST BE:

1) LEGITIMATE, LEGAL NON –wind aided AUTO TIMES.

2) VERIFIABLE

3) NO RELAY SPLITS

4) AUTOMATIC TIMES WILL BE TAKEN OVER HAND TIMES

** AN “a” NEXT TO AUTOMATIC TIMES is needed or it will be converted**

This year almost all major meets were submitted to Ron Blackwood. His list will be used TO FINALIZE ENTRIES. VERIFY YOUR TIMES BECAUSE I WILL!

Entry Fees: $6.00 per athlete and $10.00 per relay team. The maximum entry fee is $200.00.

Fees are due upon arrival to the stadium.

If entry fees are not received by arrival to stadium the fee will be doubled. This is a CIF Rule.

Make checks payable to: Exeter High School Track.

Entrance: All TEAM and COACHES will enter at the North East end of the stadium THIS GATE WILL CLOSE AT 3:30.

Parking: Bus and Van team parking will be located ON the streets adjacent to the stadium

Admission: Adults: $6.00

H.S. students with ID and Seniors (65 or older): $4.00

Awards: Medals will be awarded. Coaches may pick up medals at the medal table behind the Snack bar.

Dressing: No dressing facilities will be available.

Facilities: 9 lane all-weather track, runways, and aprons.

Coaches, Non-participating athletes, and fans will not be allowed on the infield.

Spikes: 3/16” pyramid spikes or smaller only. Spikes will be checked upon entrance to the stadium. Athletes will not be allowed to enter without the proper spikes.

Entrants: Must meet qualifying standards during the season. Each event will have a minimum of 18 entrants. Athletes close to standards should be entered (standards are attached).

Implements: Weigh-in will occur upon entrance to the stadium.

Implements will be weighed in from 2:00-3:300 P.M. at North Snack bar

Non passing implements will be confiscated and can be picked up at the end of the meet.

Jumps/Throws: In the long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus each competitor will have 3 trials. The top 9 athletes after the trials will get an additional 3 jumps/throws.

The pole vault will start 6 inches below the lowest qualifier.

The high jump will start 2 inches below the lowest qualifier.

Warm-ups: The warm-up area will be located on the Stadium infield. Must Report Clerk of the course to USE INFIELD.

Valley Qualifiers: The top three finishers in all events will qualify to compete in the Valley Championships @ Buchanan High School. You must scratch any athletes before you leave the meet on May 13th. If your athlete scratches, spot goes to the NEXT fastest at-large from ALL 3 area meets and Division 2 meet. IT WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY GO TO THE 4TH PLACE FINISHER

ATHLETES WILL CHECK IN AT THE NORTH WEST CORNER OF THE INFIELD.

- ONCE CHECKED IN THEY CAN USE THE INFIELD TO WARM-UP INSIDE THE FLAGGED AREA

- NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES INSIDE INFIELD

ATHLETE MUST BE CHECKED IN NO LATER THAN 10 MINUTES PRIOR THEIR EVENTS.

- NO EXCEPTIONS INCLUDING ALTERNATES

ALL RULES WILL BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED.

1) NEW JEWELRY RULE

- TEAM WARNING FIRST

2) TOP 3 QUALIFY ONLY.

- ALL OTHERS AT LARGE EVEN IF THERE IS A SCRATCH.

3) ENTIRE UNIFORM RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN COMPETITOR AREAS

4) NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES WILL BE ALLOWED IN COMPETITOR AREAS

5) ATHLETES MUST WEAR WRIST BAND AND SCHOOL ISSUED UNIFORMS AT ALL TIMES. (ONLY ONE WRIST BAND WILL BE GIVEN FOR EACH COACH AND ATHLETE)
