For this class we will be using an online system called MyMathLab. MyMathLab is a series of textbook-specific online courses that accompany Addison-Wesley and Prentice Hall textbooks in Mathematics and Statistics. When you login to MyMathLab for the first time you will be provided with the information

needed to configure your browser to work properly with MyMathLab.

MyMathLab:

· You must have a computer capable of running MyMathLab and a good Internet connection.

· See http://info.coursecompass.com/website/support.html for system requirements.

· A valid E-mail Address - we will communicate via e-mail so you will need to put a working e-mail address in CourseCompass when you sign up.

· Institution Name: Skagit Valley College

· Student Access Code - This individual, course-specific 6-word code is needed for registration as a CourseCompass student. Your Student Access Code is packaged in a CourseCompass Student Access Kit with your textbook. The kit includes a card with a pullback strip that reveals the code. This code can be redeemed only once---at the moment of registration. The kit also includes instructions on how to register on-line for CourseCompass and enroll in the course.

· If you already have a CourseCompass account:

o browse to http://www.coursecompass.com/ccindex.html

o click Login under the Student Section

o click on View Your Account Summary

o There you will login and Enroll in a New Course. This is where you would use the course ID (see above).

· In MyMathLab you will find:

o assigned homework is under the Do Homework button

o assigned exams are under the Take a Test button

o the course calendar is under the Calendar button

o practice Tests are under Study Plan

o syllabus is under the Course Documents button
