NOTICE OF PRIMARY ELECTION
THE CITY OF SCOTT CITY, WARD FOUR, SCOTT COUNTY, KANSAS
NOTICE is hereby given that a Primary Election will be conducted for the City of Scott City, Ward Four (4) on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
The City of Scott City has for election one position for a City Council Member representing Ward Four (4) in the City of Scott City. As four known persons have declared their candidacy for this position, a Primary Election shall be held in accordance with the Election Laws of the State of Kansas. The following qualified candidates will be voted on to select two candidates to move forward to the General Election being held on April 2, 2013:
Josh Bailey, 503 East 11th Street, Scott City, KS
Joshua Gooden, 109 West 9th Street, Scott City, KS
Phillip Shelley, 1306 Myrtle Street, Scott City, KS
Kris Smyth, 804 Madison Street, Scott City, KS
Each registered voter for Scott City Ward Four (4) will cast their ballot for one candidate from the names listed above. The two candidates with the highest number of votes will move forward to the General Election.
Pursuant to the foregoing, I hereby give notice that a Primary Election will be held on the 26th day of February 2013, at which time the candidates from the list above may be voted on at the Scott County Courthouse, 303 Court Street, Scott City, Kansas. This polling place will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on February 26, 2013. Advance voting will begin on February 11, 2013. Advance ballots will be available by mail or in person at the Scott County Clerk’s office. Advance voting available until noon on Monday, February 25, 2013. BALLOTS WILL BE ISSUED TO REGISTERED VOTERS IN SCOTT CITY WARD FOUR ONLY.
