At the current rates (2004 statistics), 1 in 8 women will experience breast cancer in their lifetime, 160,440 people will die per year from lung cancer, 56,730 will die from colon/rectal cancer and 29,900 will die from prostate cancer.

By researching and sharing knowledge, members of this class will learn about the most common types of cancer, their symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments. Through discovery, students will learn what they can do now in their lifestyle choices to possibly prevent ever experiencing those words "You have cancer.

Procedure:

·  Complete each section of the webquest using the corresponding links. Record your answers below.

·  Complete all the requirements for your group, and make sure all of the required information below is listed.

·  Use the information you collect to create a presentation on this type of cancer.

·  Email all of the materials to one group member and create one document.

·  Make sure to create a citations section of your project where you list any resources used.
