·  Clinical Practice:

1.  All primary and advanced skills concerning diagnosis and management of gastroenterology emergencies.

2.  Managing cases of fever and gastroenterology and liver diseases in out patient clinic of Assiut University Hospital.

·  Investigatory skills:

1.  Basic skills for conducting abdominal conventional ultrasonography and Doppler US.

2.  Performing diagnostic gastrointestinal endoscopy (Upper and lower).

3.  Immunohistochemical staining technique for hepatic pathologic sections.

·  Interventional skills:

1  Guided tru-cut needle biopsy from hepatic lesions, abdominal masses and lymph nodes.

2  Interventional therapeutic abdominal techniques (alcohol injection of hepatic HCC, aspiration of abscesses and cysts and therapeutic paracentesis).

3  Performing endoscopic sclerotherapy and band ligation of esophageal and gastric varicies for both in and out patients presenting with upper GIT bleeding caused by portal hypertension.

Research Experience:

One year (2007-2008) molecular pathology of HCC research experience in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN USA.

Duties in EGYPT (2000- present):

1.  Teaching under graduate medical students of 4th, 5th, and 6th year of Assuit university clinical round and clinical skill teaching.

2.  Teaching graduate students at house officer training program at our department.

3.  Helping in the achievement of goals of the residency program of training along the 3 years of residency.

4.  Helping in the research programs held at our department with my colleges and professors.

5.  Supervising master degree and doctorate thesis’s of residents and assistant lecturers in the department.

6.  Designing and conducting clinical laboratory (pathology)researches

7.  Attending outpatient clinic of Tropical medicine and gastroenterology once a week.

8.  A member of the teaching quality assurance committee helping in designing course specification for medical students.

1.  Molecular pathogenesis of liver carcinogenesis.

2.  Patho-physiology of fatty liver disease.
