(Fall/Spring) Semester 20__

Discovering your Call

The purpose of this Personal Development Plan is to establish goals for your internship experience that help you understand your call (vocation). In this section, write down what you learned from the Identity and Vocation class.

Vocation/Call

Write down a brief statement (30 words or less) of your vocation, as you currently understand it, based on what you learned from the Identity and Vocation class (review your week one writing assignment from Identity and Vocation).

·

Strengths

List your top three to five strengths, based on what you learned in the Identity and Vocation class. You may use “Strength-finders” categories, or modify those categories to describe your strengths. Include a brief phrase that explains what you mean by that strength.

Gifts

What do you believe your top two or three spiritual gifts to be—prophet (truth-telling), serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leading, or showing mercy (Rom. 12:3-8)—based on the Identity and Vocation class?

Weaknesses

What are your most obvious two or three weaknesses?

Skills and Talents

What skills or talents do you possess that may be clues to your call or part of your call (public speaking, music, tech, planning, etc.)?

·

Goals

Write down 3-5 specific goals for this semester in each area. Include your strategy for accomplishing that goal. For example, if your goal is to study 8 hours per week for each class you take, a strategy is to block out 8 hours a week to study in your weekly schedule. If your goal is to become a better public speaker (speaking skills), your strategy may be to speak publically monthly.
