The 2007 BCIS Autumn meeting will be held on Friday 21st September in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin

As during previous years, the meeting will focus on clinical aspects of interventional cardiology, and an interesting programme of presentations, case reviews and debates, with ample time for discussion, has been compiled by our Dublin hosts for the education and entertainment of their BCIS and Irish Cardiac Society colleagues.

As in previous years, early registration is advised.

You are also invited to the drinks reception and dinner, which takes place on the evening of Thursday 20th September. Registration for drinks reception and dinner, as well as for the conference, must be made in advance, using the enclosed registration form.

Attendance at the 2007 BCIS Autumn Meeting is free of charge to all BCIS members, and members of the Irish Cardiac Society. However a nominal charge is made towards the Thursday evening social event, for those who wish to attend. A BCIS membership application form is attached for anyone wishing to attend the Autumn Meeting, but who is not yet a member. Please note that the deadline for membership application, to qualify for attendance at the 2007 Autumn meeting, is 15th August, 2007.

Delegate accommodation has been arranged at the Burlington Hotel (please send the attached accommodation registration form directly to the hotel) and other neighbouring hotels are available via the Dublin Tourist Office.

Conference Venue: The meeting, drinks and dinner will be held at the Burlington Hotel. This is a high quality 4-star Dublin hotel, it’s a genuine Dublin institution, always at the heart of the action and central to the whirl of Dublin life. The Burlington Hotel is Dublin's largest and, indeed, liveliest hotel. Centrally located in the heart of Georgian Dublin, it is just a five-minute stroll to the city centre.

Accommodation: Accommodation has been reserved in the Burlington Hotel, and should be booked directly, using the enclosed form. Single room bed and breakfast accommodation is available at Euros 196 per night, with double accommodation available for Euros 221. Subject to availability, the hotel has also offered this rate into the weekend for those delegates wishing to extend their stay in Dublin.

Air: Dublin Airport is 8 miles from the Burlington Hotel. You can take the Aircoach located just outside the arrivals hall, which will drop you outside the hotel for a cost of €6. A taxi will cost up to €25.

Rail: Connolly Station A taxi should cost in the region of €7.

Heuston Station 3 miles to the Burlington Hotel. A taxi should cost in the region of €10.

Sea: Dublin Port, 2 miles to the Burlington Hotel. Leaving Dublin Port, head for the city centre until you reach the East Link Bridge. Turn Left onto the bridge. Coming off the bridge, take a right onto York Road and at the end of the road, take a right onto Bremen Grove. Turn left ontoBath Avenue, then Haddington Road, reaching Mespil Road with the canal on your right hand side. Take the last left before you reach the traffic lights, onto Sussex Road, and continue along for 400m. The hotel is located on the left hand side.

Dun Laoghaire Ferry Port, 8 miles to the Burlington Hotel. Follow the signs heading for the city centre. As you pass through the Ballsbridge area, take a left off of Pembroke Road onto Upper Baggot Street. Take the fourth left at the traffic lights, taking you onto Mespil Road with the canal on your right hand side. Take the last left before you reach the traffic lights, onto Sussex Road, and continue along for 400m. The hotel is located on your left hand side.
