Job Location: 34 York Road, Leeds LS9 8TA

Responsible to: National Development and Training Officer

Salary: NJC 36 - 37: £30,011 – £30,851

Hours: 37 hours / week

Job Specification

To develop and deliver training modules for police, social care staff and other relevant professionals on the impact of child sexual exploitation on families and the benefits of working with affected parents to improve safeguarding practice.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1.  Undertake market research to establish and document opportunities for be-spoke training for police, social care staff and other relevant professionals nationally.

2.  Create course content for police training and social worker training and training for other relevant professionals, building on the training resources already established at Pace and the knowledge and experience of Pace staff, trustees and affected parents.

3.  Liaise with the National Development and Training Officer to develop training resources and key contacts to enable training to be integrated into the strategic development of Pace’s work with partners.

4.  Develop a range of different ways of reaching the target audience through e-learning, social media and face to face training events.

5.  Establish fee paying structure with the view to the future sustainability of Pace’s training.

6.  Identify and coordinate trainers to help deliver the national training programme where this is needed.

Other tasks and responsibilities

7.  To work within agreed recording systems to facilitate monitoring, evaluation and strategic thinking.

8.  To provide reports to trustees when requested.

9.  To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal.

10.  To take part in any further training as agreed with the National Development and Training Officer

11.  To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post as agreed with the National Development and Training Officer and CEO.

12.  To carry out all the above in accordance with the vision, mission and ethos of CROP and the business plan and policies of the organisation.


PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential / Desirable
Knowledge / Qualifications / ·  Knowledge and understanding of child sexual exploitation in the UK
·  Knowledge of relevant statutory and voluntary safeguarding agencies
·  Good knowledge of IT to assist with e-learning developments
·  Education to degree or higher education level / ·  Social work / community development, or other relevant qualification
Experience / ·  2 years experience of planning and delivering training programmes
·  Experience of working with people requiring support, information and advice
·  Generating income / new business
·  Maintaining effective recording systems / ·  Working within the Third Sector
·  Working with higher and/or further education institutions
Abilities / ·  Work on own initiative and as part of a team
·  Good planning and organisational skills
·  Carry out the administrative tasks relating to the position
·  Work within agreed boundaries
·  Work with people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
·  Travel within England, with occasional overnight stays where necessary.
Personal Qualities / ·  Excellent communication skills
·  Sympathetic to issues for families affected by child sexual exploitation (CSE) and a family centred approach to tackling CSE.
·  Willingness to work flexible hours
