Booster Club News
· WELCOME BACK PARENTS & CHEERLEADERS – NOTE: Each cheerleader will receive a newsletter in the mail, and varsity cheerleaders will receive a copy at school. Cheerleaders, I will be sending out forms for each of you to fill out. The information on the forms will be included in the newsletter each month. Cheerleaders please take your time & fill them out completely.
NOTE: If the forms are not turned in timely, you will be omitted from the newsletter
· “General Membership” Booster Club Meeting – Monday, August 15th @7:00 PM, HHS Library.
We encourage all parents & cheerleaders to attend all general meetings; everyone is welcome! Remember, meetings are generally every 3rd Monday of each month, please mark your calendars! Also, if you missed a meeting, please visit the website for archived meeting minutes!! We look forward to seeing you!

· Haltom FB & Cheer Clinic – Saturday, September 10th, 4:00-8:30. Sign-ups start immediately!! Parents, we need help spreading the word and passing out flyers. Thank you Donna Harris for the copies!!!
· All Sports Pass – Want to attend all BISD “Home” Sporting events? Price: $35.00 Where to purchase: Birdville Coliseum - BISD Athletic Department, 6108 Broadway Ave, 817.547.5820, M-F 8-4. Sale Starts: July 1st. Only 2 exceptions: Pass does not include “Varsity FB Games & ALL Sport Playoffs”.
· Varsity FB Season Tickets – Want a reserved seat to all “Home” Varsity FB Games? You can purchase Season Tickets for a discounted rate. Price: $25.00 for 5 Home Games ($5 each). · Webmaster Report – we need new "Inspiration Point" sayings currently being used on our web site. They are the ones that display randomly whenever you load one of the pages that have an "Inspiration Point" window on it. Your assignment is to come up with more...more...MORE, so we can expand our repertoire! Each "Point" can be no more than 108 characters in length. Please send via email to the Webmaster.
· Moved or Moving? – Please submit changes to Connie Webb; this will ensure there is no delay in receiving this newsletter. I will also update contact lists for coaches & Booster Club. Thank you!

Varsity: Deborah Burnett – I am 26 & was born Monday, February 19, 1979. I was born & raised in Fort Worth, Texas. My nicknames are Debbie, Deborah-Rena and Coach B. My hobbies are reading, waterskiing & traveling. I have been married 2 years to a wonderful man, Justin. We have no children…yet! My teaching degree is from “University of Texas at Arlington”. I teach 10th grade English. What I love about teaching… Summer! Okay, making children’s minds grow and having fun doing it sounds better. J My career goal is to write great novels and if I weren’t a teacher, I would be a writer. My favorite thing about cheerleading is finally seeing the finished project of a routine after all the hard work!
Squad Goals: I want there to be unity all year. So far, it’s been perfect! I also want them to be confident with their talents.
FYI about me: I LOVE Willie & Armada!! (Coach W & Coach R)
Jr. Varsity: Jennifer Romada – I am 25 & was born Sunday, January 27, 1980. I was born & raised in Holdredge, Nebraska… GO HUSKERS!!! My nicknames are Armada & Coach R. My hobbies are reading, singing, working out, designing rooms and being with my husband & family. I have been married 4 years; my husbands name is Kornel. We have no children. My teaching degree is from “Northwest Missouri State University”. I teach 9-12 English/Speech. What I love about teaching… Students! My career goal is keep improving every year, get my Masters & Doctorate degrees, and to help students succeed!! If I weren’t a teacher, I would be a college professor. My favorite thing about cheerleading is relationships and performing.
Squad Goals: More tumblers, all even toe touches and everyone ENJOYS cheerleading!!
FYI about me: I LOVE MY CHEERLEADERS!!!! J You ladies are a blessing to me EVERY day!!
Freshman: Jennifer Williams – I am 30 & was born Sunday, December 14, 1975. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut. However, I have also lived in PR, NY, RI and TX. My nicknames are Willie & Coach W. My hobbies are working out, reading & wakeboarding! No husband or children… YET!! My teaching degree is from “Eastern Connecticut State University” & “UNT”. I teach 10th & 12th grade Chemistry & AP Biology. What I love about teaching… interaction with students! My career goal is keep enjoying teaching (and coaching); and always try to improve!! If I weren’t a teacher, I would be a Doctor. My favorite thing about cheerleading is working as a team with the girls and learning new things together.
Squad Goals: To continue to improve their abilities, team spirit, and HAVE FUN!!!

v Cheerleaders – please see calendar for dates & times for competition cheer fundraisers. Sign-up sheets will go out the week of the fundraiser, please see Coach Burnett. If you cannot be there, arrangements for another cheerleader, parent or sibling MUST be made prior to fundraiser. See Coach Burnett for specific details.
v Parents – you are welcome & encouraged to help at fundraisers in place of, or with your Cheerleader. Shift sign-up is a first-come-first-serve basis. Debbie Anderson (Comp Sponsor) will contact you via email for shift openings; the first parent to respond will be given the open shifts. Every effort will be made to accommodate all parents, as well as, a rotation so all parents have the opportunity to help their cheerleader

1) Texas Tumblers: Every Tuesday, 3:00-4:30 pm, $70.00 per person. (Mandatory)
2) HHS Gym: Every (TBA), 4:30-6:30. (Mandatory)

Wow!! Ladies we did an awesome job at camp. JV proved that if you don't give up you will succeed!! Don't forget Buff Night is right around the corner. Start working on your jumps and tumbling skills. Also, congratulations Heather S, Britney S, and Whitney B for making the Competition Squad. I love you JV!!!
