Asking for Help
Sometimes I need help with my work during work time. My teacher might be at her desk or talking to another student. To get my teacher’s attention
I hold my hand up. It is important to sit quietly and wait for the teacher to call on me.
While I wait, my mouth is quiet. When I am quiet, my teacher is happy. I do not bother other students when I raise my hand and sit quietly.
Sometimes it is hard to sit quietly. I yell “teacher, teacher!” and stand up by my desk. My teacher is not happy when I yell out and don’t wait my turn.
Sometimes my teacher chooses my friend. It is not my turn. I will sit quietly and wait.
When my teacher calls my name or comes over to my desk I know it is my turn. Now I can ask the teacher for help. I know my teacher will help me.
