As the President of the Organising Committee I am delighted to invite you to attend and to participate at the 9th EPNS Congress which will be held in Cavtat /Dubrovnik, Croatia from 11-14 May 2011.

The EPNS Congres is principal education event in pediatric neurology in Europe for clinicians, researchers and other related professionals.

The programme will be highly scientific with 28 attractive topics and 15 Education Programs enabling comprehensive update in paediatric neurology, including basic neuroscience and neurobiology, new diagnostic and treatment approach in epilepsy and in muscular disorders, neurootology and neuroopthalmology, advanced critical care and ethics in paediatric neurology. In addition, focus on clinical patient issues and practical clinical skills will be covered during comprehensive workshops, for example electroencephalography and electromyography.

What will be new?

Combined comprehensive education and scientific programs will be presented during workshops and symposiums.

Basic neuroscience symposium will include the basic knowledge in the field of neuroscience but also the most recent news in advanced scientific research.

Workshops will include basic and advanced clinical skills practice in the field of neurophisyology including electromyography and electroencephalography in newborns and children.

The most interesting clinical cases will be presented and discussed during workshops.

In the last session “Highlights in pediatric neurology in the last two years” the expert faculty and leading lecturers will focus on the most recent breakthrough news in pediatric neurology valuable for further research studies and new diagnostic and treatment guidelines as well as for development of translational medicine in pediatric neurology.

During platform and poster sessions the nurses in pediatric neurology and EEG/EMG technicians will have opportunity to present and to discuss the basic but also very advanced issues related to the field of pediatric neurology.
