TAQUERIAS AND HAMBURGESAS – Fast, delicious and affordable meals

Taqueria Viejos – Breakfast and lunch is an absolute must! Located just 150 ft. south.

Karina’s Hamburgesas – Our nighttime favorite for an affordable, fast meal and always a gathering spot for Los Barriles’ local families. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, also make sure to try the Carne Asada or the Papas Relleno. It’s the unassuming restaurant cart at the bend in the road behind us.

La Curva – Yes, found at ‘the curve’ just north of us, this friendly and fast open-air restaurant serves quality Mexican fare for lunch and dinner at affordable prices.

La Palma Taqueria – Super Burro’s are huge, the atmosphere and décor unique. Turn right before Tio Pablo’s & travel about 200 feet. You’ll see a sign painted on a surfboard.

Tacos Los Barriles– Breakfast and lunch and another great option. Just below Chapito’s Mercado.

Omar & Alma’s Pollo Rostizerado – A special treat of delicious roasted chickens, spicy macaroni salad, salsa, papas fritas and tortillas. Past El Barrilito and Karina’s Hamburgesas on the left. Open all day, 7 days a week.

El Coral – The best Papas con Carne on the planet – twice baked potatoes, cheese and topped with carne asada and roasted over hot coals. ½ mile south past the Pemex; look for a bamboo fence with a cow skull!

Café Maria – Explore a Baja neighborhood and enjoy wonderful traditional Mexican breakfast and lunch on Maria’s home patio. It’s the street going to the south and up the slight hill from El Barrilito Restaurant.

RESTAURANTS

El Barrilito – A local’s favorite nighttime restaurant – they are also able to prepare your fish catch. Directly behind us at the bend under the big palapa.

The Cactus – This has become a great option for eating out. It is out of town toward La Paz approximately 2 miles. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tio Pablo’s – Tio is a local icon, has a great bar, offers an endless menu selection for lunch or dinner plus hosts a must-do Wednesday and Friday night Karaoke party. Longing for a good steak or hamburger? This is the place. Also pizza to go and an ice cream stand (try those hot fudge sundaes!) outside to the south of the building.

Otra Vez – More upscale, with an extensive and sophisticated collection of some of Mexico’s finest tequilas. Fine dining with great daily specials. Great live music on occasion, including flamenco, good rock, dancing.

Paradise Café – Los Barriles’ newest, and it’s terrific. Breakfast and lunch, coffee bar, smoothies, nice atmosphere. An easy walk from the park. Say hi from us!

Caleb’s Café – Great breakfasts and lunches including smoothies and baked goods. Located on the hill going toward the Delegacion building with a beautiful view of the sea.
